Fellow Deputy Sheriffs and Members:

I began my law enforcement career October 6th, 1980 at San Jacinto Junior College-North Campus in Houston, Texas.  I have been a deputy sheriff from 1983 to the present.  From 1983 to 1986 I was at the Harris County Texas Sheriff's department.  From 1986 to the present at the Nueces County Texas Sheriff's Department.

 I have been the training coordinator for the Association since 1996, providing training in defense tactics.  Since 1998 the program expanded to Alabama, Louisiana, Maryland, and Georgia.

 From 1985 to 1996 I participated in the International Law Enforcement Games and the World Police and Fire Games.  Judo was the competition I medaled in.  In accepting the nomination as President of ADSA, I look forward to serving the members of our association.
